Clearwater Short Sale and Clearwater Foreclosure Homes
In the month of September we enter a seasonally slow market in real estate, the slow months continue until January of the next year. The August foreclosure activity report stated a 77% increase in foreclosures from the month of July, so we should expect a new record increase for September and October. 33,932 foreclosures were filed in Florida , and that means one in every 243 households filed for foreclosure.
While experts insist that they can predict the future and market will recover by the end of 2008, every report that comes out clearly shows we are not on the path to recovery. In fact, the amount of distressed sellers with their houses on the market now tells us that we are still on a future decline. According to the reports showing the amount of buyers that took out adjustable interest rate loan back in 2004 to 2006, more properties will soon be in distress. Since we currently have an inventory backup of homes equivalent to 2 1/2 more years of home sales, adding these new distressed sellers will put us even farther behind and drive the home prices even lower and the foreclosure rates even higher. We are looking at four more years of decline and recovery not just one year.
Don't get me wrong, people are still buying houses, for this is the American dream and we all want to live it. Buyers can get it great deal on a house right now but for a seller who bought in 2004 to 2006, a big loss is inevitable.
